Description

Just a reminder to you all: I am focusing on this story first so I can get proper experience drawing people, action, violence, gore and comic composition. All of these I'm not too slick at.... especially the action, violence, and gore.

So... Anyone who takes a look at this, please give me input on technical things. I am so throughly not going to change the artwork at this point, but will probably someday will have to re-do it anyways.

Font and wordbubbles are easily altered at this point... Unless they changed their policies, the lovely people at blambot.com offer their fonts for free if used on a webcomic. How cool is that? I swear, they have the coolest fonts ever

I know my grass is a bit simple, but its a heck lot better than cheaping out and using that tacky grass brush in photoshop. Thats as bad as using dodge and burn to shade. (all personal opinions, please don't kill me. If you do try to kill me, good luck. Like the undead that will be appearing in the comic, I don't stay dead for long :P)

This is page 1 of the 3-5 page intro depending on if I fail at figuring out how to get the message across. All along I have been wanting it to start out with this page. The zooming in during what will be insanely rare narration... and Jendaya slowly deciphering a new spell she just got. I bet she has previously spent a month studying that sucker.

...Actually, the first big event(most likely "chapter") is completely set up and scripted in my head, save for a conclusion

what will be on page 2: spell goes off and works
on pages 3-5: ok... it kinda works
---------------
I am a complete newbie at making comics, but obsessed with reading them. Who knows, If I get a few months worth of material done, I will probably want to try my have at some webcomicry. *rates time this took and how hurty the arm is* Unless linework or composition are reluctant and bitchy, I could shoot for once a week at best.

If any of you have advise for making word bubbles in photoshop, I'm all ears. Its pretty obvious that these ones were done with the tablet... along with the sketching, inking and coloring. My hand still shakes on the longer strokes.

Oh, if you do advise or critique, please not that I think I screwed up on making her shoe(I think its a boot) looks like a shoe.
--------------
Random fact I think is amusing: This is a good intro to jump into the story, but there is another intro type thing I will do later. Perhaps as a dream since we will be in flashback mode. I will need to actually show you guys how/why she became a witch. The main character is based on the lamest 10th level second edition D&D character ever. She was a wizard with the witch package(she also specializes in summoning. Anything decent she can summon, she can't control). In this system, in exchange for a bunch of cool items and your magic powers a witch is completely owned by a demon. Jen's demon master is the stupidest thing ever. I never got the chance to play her, so she didn't even get to die properly.

Since she never got her chance to die... I have decided to let her live... and have grand adventures that avoid combat like the plague. *runs away from villagers*

Just think.... BEFORE she became the property of a demon things were much worse. Muhoohoohoo i'm so mean to characters I like :3

Very nice, this looks pretty good I think, really nice page set-up overall and really nice looking colors and details.
It would be interesting to see you try a webcomic, have any plans on working more with them?
